The Screens
User/System interaction screens at different stages of registration and usage of the service
I start with the screens in order as they would normally appear to a user going through a registration process. Then I list the other screens.
There are several main screens, on which users will manage (edit) their metadata record, and there are auxiliary screens, which don't provide metadata editing.
Those main metadata-editing screens, when accessed through a user login, will allow user to go to all other editing screens or to return to the main menu.
Only interactive screens are included here. The static explanatory pages, which will also be part of ACIS, are not here.
- Service Homepage
The initial service screen - New User Registration screen
Let user enter the account details, the name and contact details - Additional personal data screen: name variations and
areas of interest
The second step of the registration process. Asking the user's personal name variations and areas of academic interests of the person. - Affiliation and Employment Profile
People affiliate with and work for institutions - Contributions Profile
Manage the list of academic contributions - Confirmation email sent screen
Last step of the registration process. - Registration Completed screen
Registration successful. - Submit an Institution Info
If an Institution is not in the Institutions database, or if an institution record in the database is incorrect.
Now that's what users will be able to see once they are registered and logged into system:
- Welcome Menu screen
What a registered user sees, when she logs in - Name and contact details
All the main general info about the user - Scientific fields profile
The areas of academic interests of a person, expressed as keywords and classification codes. - Good-Bye screen
After logging out of the system - Delete Registration screen
And these are the other screens:
- Outside-visible Personal Profile
This is how the user-provided data will be visible to the outside world. - Forgotten password screen
A web-form to request an email message, containing the service' password of the user.
